What’s the first thing that you need to take into account when playing Command and Conquer?
The first step, of course, is to know your surroundings. Don’t get distracted by other stuff that might be taking your attention. Instead, learn to master the art of memorizing your map (whether it’s your favorite or it’s still new to you.) The key is to know where to place your defenses and where to do your attacks.
What is Rushing?
The technique of rushing is basically also known as the art of a fast, early-game, crippling strike. What is the goal? Well it is simply for you to proceed to infantry and light vehicles quickly, then using all of these elements to pressure or ‘rush’ the opponent into doing something (something dumb, as you would hope).
How best to use Orcas?
Orcas make for an excellent accompanying unit for mammoths. This means you basically use them for those enemies that mammoths would prefer not to engage, like hordes of beam tanks, for instance. You see, if the enemy sends five or six beam tanks, these can easily rip apart your small groups of mammoths, which is why it’s wise to send orcas ahead of them to help keep these mammoths alive.
What’s one tip for killing in skirmishes?
First of all, you need to get yourself acquainted with the controls, especially the ones that are directly involved with production. How will this help? Well, you can think of it this way. Sometimes, enemies will try to defeat you as fast as they can. With that, you can be sure that you won’t scare too easily, primarily because you can already pull up and select as many units as possible.
